Today Havant and Waterlooville, a team from within the Blue Square South League, took on Liverpool in the FA Cup! Not bad for a team of non-professional footballers. Their Goalie is a building site Labourer for his ‘day job’! The final score of 5-2 to Liverpool does not do the  H & W  team justice as they played well and at one point they were 2 goals up!

It warmed my heart to hear that a few thousand supporters had made the journey to Anfield and to hear the Liverpool fans applaud the underdog team as they walked out on to the pitch. This is what sport should be all about. Great effort from everyone and no doubt a great atmosphere.! 

Well done also to  Eastbourne Borough, our team in the same league that we help sponsor, who won against Basingstoke 6-0!!!!!  Fantastic!
